Lemezbörze,…plusz – a Hungarian record holder
Lemezbörze,…plusz music magazine became a Hungarian record holder with the number of songs written exclusively for the magazine. To this date 52 compositions contain references to L+ and/or Nemzetközi (International) Lemezbörze or MegaBörze respectively, hallmarked by L+.
The most significant one is “We grew up on bakelite”, a Szikora-S.Nagy-Csabai composition which had 30 cover versions in different musical styles – including texts in English and Italian – not to mention the various mixes and Christmas versions. Two additional performers gave the same title to their own compositions of different melodic styles. More than one singer perform on certain takes, moreover, versions in so called “We Are The World” style have also been recorded, therefore the number of performers (93) is approaching one hundred! The result reflects the good relationship and concord between the Hungarian musicians and the magazine Lemezbörze,…plusz. In return L+ have been organizing The Sixties “Glee Club” for musicians turning 60 during the subject year for the sixth year running. The project has already saluted 43 musicians. This year the certificates have been presented at SzeptEmber Fest.
