Last year was the one and only gap in this history – blame the economic crisis. However, the organisers in Berlin demonstrated that they can overcome the problems by cutting costs and reforming approach and PopKomm can carry on with its mission.This is all the more praiseworthy after the numerous attacks on the German cultural circles for moving the fair from Cologne to Berlin. Correspondents of our magazine have regularly visited this event since the early Nineties, we have been an unmissable participant of the International Press Stand since 2004 and we became a media sponsor of PopKomm last year. In 2011 Lemezbörze,…plusz is the ambassador of the Hungarian music culture in Berlin again.

The Guest of Honor of the worldwide effort to fight AIDS is again a top star, Janet Jackson, who tried hard to hide from the fans and autograph hunters and appeared almost exclusively at the compulsory programs only. The editor-in-chief of our magazine however, managed to get close to Janet, who was apparently pleased and politely returned thanks for getting acqainted with a Hungarian musical magazine.
